December of 2018 I had my first visit with Gran where it was just the two of us. We got our nails done, ate at limoncello, looked through her picture books longing next to the fireplace, talked all night, and bonded over espresso the next morning. We talked about everything and anything and began making plans for us to spend more time together. We talked about her orchestra competition and all of the trips she still had on her to do list.

July of 2024 Gran took us all on the trip of a lifetime. Experiencing new cities, food, music, culture, all while getting to celebrate Gran's 80th birthday with the family all together in one place.
